2008 is going to be a busy year for me...though not as busy as it could have been, as you’ll see. So far, I’ve had a relaxed schedule--a book a year, occasionally two. Given that I’m a fast writer, that means I’ve built up a backlog of work. In 2008, you’ll start to see that backlog.

 

January - story "Stalked" in the anthology, My Big Fat Supernatural Honeymoon. This is a Clay and Elena story, narrated by Clay.

 

March - paperback of No Humans Involved

 

April - hardcover of Personal Demon

 

July - The Summoning. This is the first novel in a new young adult trilogy ("The Darkest Powers") set in the Otherworld universe, but with all new characters.  As for format, right now it's set for hardcover in the US and trade paperback elsewhere.

 

October - story "The Ungrateful Dead" in the anthology, Blood Lite. This is a Jaime story.

 

November - hardcover of Otherworld book 9, Living with the Dead.
 

All dates are and formats, as always, subject to change, according to the publisher’s schedule. I may have other small projects released in 2008. I’ll add details when I have them.

 

Two books are missing from this schedule. Both were due out in late 2008, but when Otherworld book 9 was moved to that slot, I got worried. Though all of these books are written, the ones due in fall haven’t been edited. I want to be sure that each one of my books gets the proper amount of my attention all the way through the process, from first draft to proofread. So, after some negotiating, two books originally due out in 2008 have been moved to early 2009. That might disappoint some readers, but it’s very important to me that "increased quantity" doesn’t equal "decreased quality." Those moved books are...

 

February 2009 - Men of the Otherworld anthology.  As for format, the US was talking hardcover, but no word on the others.
 

Spring 2009 - paperback of Nadia Stafford book 2. The working title is Made to Be Broken, but, again, expect that to change!  Expect a plot synopsis by October and excepts by January 09.

 

2009 should also see book 2 of the Darkest Powers trilogy and book 10 of the Otherworld.
