Signed Bookplates

Having received many complaints about the fact that I rarely do signings beyond the Toronto area, I've decided to follow the example of other authors and offer signed bookplates.
NOTE: I'm currently running way behind on filling orders.  I'd run a promotion for No Humans Involved that was far more popular than expected, and I'm still filling orders for that.  I kept running out of bookplates so I'd put these orders aside for now (they need 3 each while the promotion only needed 1)  I'll get to them very soon!

What the Heck is a Bookplate?
It's a decorative label with an adhesive back that can be placed inside a book.  Commonly used as a way to mark your own books before lending them out, authors also use them as an easy way to 'sign' books.  I've pasted an example to the right.

Inscriptions
Let me know what you want yours to say.  Just signed?  Signed and dated?  Signed to you or someone else (like the example)?  Inscribed with something special (e.g. 'Happy 30th Birthday, Jill')?  Great.  Inscribed with some profound or witty comment of my own?  Um, no.  When it comes to book inscriptions, I am incredibly unimaginative.  Sorry!

How to Request
Just send a self-addressed envelope to the address below, indicating the inscription and how many bookplates you'd like (up to 3).
No need to include return postage.  While I appreciate the gesture, Canada Post won't accept stamps from outside the country, so consider this one "on me"...my thanks for buying the book!

Can I Buy a Signed Book or Send you Mine to Sign?
Short answer: no.
For now, I'll leave the bookselling to the bookstores.  That's how they make their livelihood.  If you want a signed book, please buy it from them and ask me for a bookplate (see above.)
I used to allow readers to send me their books to sign and return, but had an experience where I returned five books...and they went missing.  After many phone calls and much panic, they were found, but it taught me that this isn't something I should do.  I couldn't bear the guilt of losing a reader's first edition non-replaceable Stolen hardcover!
