As of January 26th 2010, the monthly contests have ended.  This was a tradition dating back to my first first website in 2003 and I'm sorry to see it go.  In the last few months, though, despite our best efforts to secure this page against spam-bots, they have becoming an increasing problem.

I'd hoped to get to the end of January before ending the contests, but after receiving 1000 fake entries within 48 hours, I've realized I can't even wait that long.  The load is straining our e-mail servers and probably preventing business and reader mail from reaching us.

As many of you know, I'd already started diverting my contest efforts to Twitter and Facebook, where I run far more than two giveaways per month.  You can also find those contests announced on my discussion board.
